Who doesn’t love an ice-cold treat on a hot summer day? The Glitter Girls are big fans of frozen desserts, and they love them even more when they’re homemade! Making things at home means that you get to choose the ingredients yourself, so every bite is to your liking. Just for you, we’re sharing 3 easy and delicious popsicle recipes to try this summer. All you’ll need is a set of popsicle molds and a few ingredients you might already have at home!

Fizzy Candy Pops

Yield: 8 popsicles Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Time: 10 hours, 5 minutes

Fizzy, refreshing, and super fun, these popsicles are great for summer kids’ parties! All you’ll need are two ingredients: soda pop and gummy candies. Choose the flavors your family loves most, mix the two together, and freeze. You’ll have incredible, original treats in no time!

Ingredients

  • 24 oz carbonated soft drink, such as Sprite
  • Gummy candies

Directions

  1. Fill each popsicle mold with gummy candies.
  2. Pour in the soft drink and freeze for 10 hours before serving. Ta-dah!

Creamy Berry Pops

Yield: 8 popsicles Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 8 hours, 10 minutes

Berry season and popsicle season unite! This delicious recipe calls for fresh ingredients, creating a healthy snack that everyone can enjoy. You get to pick the berries you want – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries – and use lactose-free dairy if anyone is intolerant.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh berries
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp honey

Directions

  1. Combine the yogurt, cream, and honey together in a medium bowl.
  2. Slice larger berries, such as strawberries, into small pieces. Gently fold the berries into the yogurt mixture.
  3. Pour into 8 popsicle molds and freeze for 8 hours before serving. Voilà!

Fudge Marshmallow Pops

Yield: 8 popsicles Prep Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 10 hours, 15 minutes

Get ready to wow with these decadent popsicles! Rich, creamy, and oh-so chocolatey, these hit the spot for cocoa lovers of all ages. If you want to go the extra mile, turn them into s’more pops by dipping them in marshmallow fluff, then sprinkling on some graham cracker crumbs just before serving. So easy, so amazing!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk or coconut milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (optional)
  • 1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs (optional)

Directions

Look out! This recipe uses heat, so grown-ups should manage the cooking process. Children can stir, but only under adult supervision!

  1. Combine the milk, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a light simmer, over medium heat, stirring constantly. Simmer for about a minute.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir constantly until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Give the chocolatey mixture about 15 minutes to cool. Stir in the marshmallows, then pour into 8 popsicle molds and place in the freezer. Freeze for a minimum of 10 hours.
  4. (Optional) Dip your finished popsicles in marshmallow fluff, then top with a sprinkling of graham cracker crumbs. Enjoy!
